 Landscapes

My landscapes are nature that turns into shapes, silhouettes and colors in clay plastic. These are plant interpretations that emanate from the never-ending source of inspiration in the wheel of nature and are unique in their individuality and surprise. I can see them seamlessly and observe them from a bird’s eye view or abstract and look at them through the eyes of an ant. Creating them, I use colored clay masses and glazes, various ceramic decoration techniques, inlaid ceramics into stone, wood, metal, and combine different materials. I invite you to observe the landscapes of your mood, to touch them, sometimes even to walk around them …

 From my Granny‘s chest

My granny‘s chest contains her bridal dowry: thoroughly hand-embroidered pillows, tablecloths and bedspreads. They have adorned our home for 40 years. My mother has inherited these decorations, and now they belong to me. Most of them are obsolete and outworn. I cannot embroidery myself, but as I am a ceramicist I decided to readjust these decorations on ceramic surfaces.  All the patience and love which I received from my family and which will be passed to my daughter is reflected on the imprints.

 Rolling-pins

A rolling-pin is the main contemporary ceramic artist’s tool. It seems to me the most important everyday form. It is so simple, nice and handy. Every tool has been performed using different techniques of ceramics which allow expressing the idea in a snappy way. But what could it look like after leaving the ceramicist’s studio and finding its way in another setting… So this composition is a very funny promenade of rolling-pin.
