2021 What’s new in our meadow?

2020 “…and Growing Stool in the Meadow”

Solo exhibition  is a collection of ceramic objects that was born based on gene technology. Genetic engineering enables us to take genetic information, transform it according to our needs, and transfer it from one organism to another, despite interspecies differences. In this way, plants, microorganisms or animals acquire new properties that were not characteristic of them before. Genetic engineering is widely used in medicine, food industry, agriculture and so on. t. But the artist’s choice is ceramics. “Using artistic means of expression, modifying and multiplying edible and various functional objects, I create ceramic objects-characters. Personalization (Latin persona) is a process that makes a person a personality that stands out from others through individual self-expression. In this exhibition, my characters are plants intertwined with animals and objects, ”says the artist

2019 Summer afternoon

It’s a warm, bright, breathtaking, slightly golden and quite frivolous show. Roses that bloom in all their beauty, warm summer rains with golden plashes, old rural utensils and always vigilantly watching animals, dignified as guards guarding the summer. These are the images that inspired me and fell on this last afternoon in this exhibition in the form of chamber ceramic objects.

2010 Sounding Pottery

An exhibition of ceramics that spreads the sounds of live music

The Ceramophone is a unique example of the interpretation of non-traditional instruments in contemporary art space and contemporary music. This unconventional clay percussion instrument was formed on a throwing wheel, decorated in the old authentic way of ceramic decorating (sgraffito) and technically accurately reproduces musical notes. Thanks to young composers and performers, the inner content of the work is expressed in modern musical compositions. The exhibition-concert also features unique, clay instruments udu drums created by the author of the exhibition, which are created using raku and old Lithuanian black-burning technologies and perfectly convey the sound of music.

2007 Vineyard

In order to be a gardener, you must also be an artist. Where there is man, there must be a corner of space and beauty. If nature did not create it naturally, you have to do it yourself. But man cannot create what has already been created. It can only change a little. This is the work of an artist. The garden is like a reduced model of nature, in which the plants become miniatures. By heating the metal and clay to 1000 °C, the authors created over 2,000 “grapes” from nearly 1 kilometer of wire and glued 300 grape leaves. This created an autumn, very colorful and cheerful garden, after which the authors invite you to take a walk.

2006 Flowerbed

Flowerbed – semicircular in shape, resembling a cut globe or egg, perhaps even a bowl full of flowers. All the flowerbeds are like peculiar landscapes, reflecting the mood of the seasons. They are decorated with plant motifs of small ornaments, inlays of colored stoneware. Flowerbed “Vilnius” – the map of Vilnius Old Town decorating using engobe sgraffito technique used as an information tool and artistic accent as well. The composition of natural stones is more reminiscent of grasses. They are encrusted with stone mass relief details. The openwork bowls are molded using natural leaf molds, reminiscent of an autumn leaf vortex.

2004 The Colors of the World of the Depths

Ceramics exhibition dedicated to the International Maritime Day. It’s like a tale whose heroes are inhabitants of the waters, mysteriously fighting for their existence. For some, this tale lasts for several centuries, for others – in just a couple of days. During its short life, salmon travel several thousand kilometers on rocky, very fast-flowing mountain rivers. However, after gaining experience and fully mature, they turn back, upstream. Their endless rush to return to the same place where their life journey began, overcoming impossible obstacles, eventually spills out in bright red.
